Will an independent shop void my warranty?
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can’t void your warranty just because maintenance was done outside the dealer. Keep your receipts and use parts that meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
Are European car repairs more expensive?
Parts and labor usually cost more than for domestic or Asian brands, but independent specialists often charge less per hour than dealers. Ask for an itemized estimate before work starts.
