The dealer isn’t the only option for a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen or Volvo — independent specialists with the same scan tools and experience often charge less. Every shop here says it specializes in European or import vehicles in its business name, listing or on its own website.

Good to know
Will an independent shop void my warranty?
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can’t void your warranty just because maintenance was done outside the dealer. Keep your receipts and use parts that meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
Are European car repairs more expensive?
Parts and labor usually cost more than for domestic or Asian brands, but independent specialists often charge less per hour than dealers. Ask for an itemized estimate before work starts.
